Re: New drop link bushes

I recently fitted bushes to my drop links. the trick is to only fit them halfway into the link, then the the bit that's still sticking out will give you a start onto the bar. It's then down to lub' and a rubber mallet to pop it on the rest of the way

Re: Rear Wheel Bearings

I think the confusion has arisen because there is a castle nut and split pin, so various people have assumed that the bearings are taper roller and therefore could be adjusted. This assumtion is clearly incorrect.

Rear Wheel Bearings

As a recent convert to T25's I have received conflicting advice about rear wheel bearings. Having looked on the site, in Haynes and VWheritage catalogue I have concluded the rear wheel bearings being ball races are not adjustable. Several people including an MOT engineer have advised differently. Pl...

Paint Stripper

Does anyone know of an aggressive paint stripper? The new Nitromors is about next to useless, have put a generous covering on the paint left for about 20 mins, and it still only took of the top layer. Hunted around in the shed and found some of the older type, same proceedure and four layers just pe...

Roof brace

As a new owner I have hit my head more than once on the roof cross brace of my Devon van. My spies were out at the Brighton breeze and reported back that some of the vans they looked in had the brace removed. Now mine seems to be solidly welded in place. Whats the general opinion about the removel o...

Windscreen Wipers

As I have only had my van "Ruby" for a few months my knowledge is small. I took it out in the rain for the first time and thought the wipers were very slow and only appear to operate at this one speed. The van is a 1980 aircool 2ltr. Is there an upgrade? Is the motor suspect? Unfortunately...
