Re: Fiamma Utra Box 320 (anybody use one?)

Re: Holdsworth Villa Pop-top clip replacement - rivets

On my Holdsworth I have replaced the clips with new stainless steel ones. I just drilled out the pop rivets and used new ones. Fortunately the new clips were exact replacement and all the holes matched. This was three years ago and I don't seem to have had a problems. Protex sell them here: http://w...

Re: Interior refit

The bed is just a standard rock and roll action. Nothing to show really.

I did post some pics a while back here: https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.p ... 2#p7983360

Re: Interior refit

Not wishing to risk my seats ( if it all went horribly wrong ) I brought a pair of old front seats that were in a bad way. I think I paid £40 for the two. By coincidence they were also out of a Holdsworth conversion. I disassembled the old covers and used them as patterns. I choose to use brown viny...

Re: Interior refit

The green material came from John Lewis. The contract vinyl (fire resistant) and foam came from http://www.foamforhome.co.uk/store/Scripts/default.asp I lined all of the viny with 3mm scrim foam and used 12mm scrim foam for the quilting on the centre panels. I also used 3mm scrim foam behind the vin...

Re: Interior refit

Here's a few pics of the cards and seats. The Panels were covered in the same brown vinyl that I used for the seat wings. I used a green upholstery material which I quilted with horizontal strips for the centres of the seats. I only have a domestic sewing machine so doing the seats was a real strugg...

Re: Interior refit

I have a Holdsworth Villa Poptop and just replaced all al my door cards. I used Oil Tempered (Masonite) hardboard. I have also just recovered all my seats myself. They have come out quite well but It is a job I would not be attempting again :)

I am assuming that I should i put the fastners back in and then glue the foam to the hardboard. Do i also need to glu...

Changing Headrest Colour

I am just in the process of reupholstering my front seats and would like to change the colour of the grey headrests.

Ideally I would like to make them brown.

Any ideas about what type of paint, stain or colouring agent I could use?

Thanks.

Re: Tickover HELP Keeps cutting out when the revs drop

Finally took the carb to pieces last weekend. I found there was a small amount of what looks like sand in the bottom of the float chamber. I am sure it is this that has been causing me problems. So far the van has been running fine but have yet to do any long journeys.

Re: Tickover HELP Keeps cutting out when the revs drop

I had\have a similar problem. the van 1.9 petrol, some times will not idle. I think it all stems from a service I had done on the van about a year ago. For some reason they overfilled the oil level to above the max marking. I only became aware of this when, on the motorway i saw a white cloud of smo...
