Re Covering Door Panels

Post by johncccc »

I am just about to redo my front door panels. The old panels were slightly warped so i have cut new ones from oil tempered hardboard.

I have 3mm scrim foam and vinly to recover them.

I am assuming that I should i put the fastners back in and then glue the foam to the hardboard. Do i also need to glue the vinyl to the foam?

Will the slight raised surface of the fastner be apparent though the foam and vinyl?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Pretty straight forward. Hope it goes well. :ok
