Have you got room to use the 4.5Kg Calor bottles? Much better value for money. For a while (before I upgraded to a SafeFill re-fillable bottle), I started using the 4.5Kg bottles, though I had to unbolt the "ring" around the top so it would fit in the cupboard.

I have just paid £25 for a 907, I am sure I paid nearer £30 for the one before that.

How big are the safe fill bottles against the 907?

From the SafeFill website I found =
Small 5KG Cylinder
Capacity: Capacity: 9.5 litres
Height: 384 mm
Diameter: 305 mm

I don't have a 907, but I am sure the dimensions can be easily found.

Not often, but most Shell garages won't let you  I keep a print out in my van of a C&P from their website about the legallity of filling them, most garages are ok, but not Shell ones. Mind you, with a bit of planning ahead, ie topping up at a place you know is ok with them, you shouldn't have a problem as they last a heck of a lot longer than the little 907s, plus you can see when they are getting a bit low, so you are never caught out, like with a blue steel bottle. I had to modify my "furniture" a bit to fit it in, but have never looked back. SOooooo much cheaper to run !! (esp if, like me, you camp out in all weathers and use the Propex a lot).

I think I'll be looking into one, there is a dealer not to far from me. It's either one of these or a tank fitted underneath :ok

No, sorry, those ones are not the same and are not re-fillable at the forecourt.
