Re: Recomendations for oil
This has been discussed so many times now. Use the search feature - and the WIKI which has a LOT on oil.

Re: Recomendations for oil
Funny thing was i searched for the term "oil", "engine oil" and several more combinations but kept geting "no suitable matches were found". it must not like the term "oil"
i thought it was very curious that there were no postings on oil types so asked the question
Sorry

Re: Recomendations for oil
No need to apologise
You may have been using the "normal" search function on "normal" pages. I find that one can be a bit quirky. If you go to the knowledge base "wiki" and put oil in there you get this = Click here
I know very little about air cooled motors, so won't add anything

Re: Recomendations for oil
regular oil and filter changes, every 3-5000 miles, will keep your engine in tip top condition
no need for that snake oil
I do mine every 6 months
