Ordered my new shinny headlamps, clear indicators and brake lights. New pressed metal plates have arrived (uk legal) and my mk5 golf rear vw badge. Will post a pic when I've swapped all the bits over.

Reckon you have picked the wrong base van if you want to start transplanting water cooled in. Someone has done a v8 on here and there are loads of scooby conversions.

Is there any bigger air cooled engines than a 2.0l to be fair i have not decided about the engine swap. Im just brainstorming. I don't want to change the look if the van. Im going to be kind with my restoration. Original with a twist..

Yeah, Porsche. :D They do make the capacity bigger on the 2.0 but not sure how big. Not by a lot I doubt and I personally cannot see the point. A good 2.0 will cruise along nicely and It is all part of the charm. 2.0 parts seem to be a lot more expensive than 1600 etc. if you have a nice runner then just leave it alone and spend more on the other stuff with more in the pot for when it breaks. :ok
