Where can i get new Bellows fitted to my pop top??? Devon -

Post by Tobyt25 »

I can get new ones made at a very reasonable price. But the one on the van is attached with screws and rivets and i think its beyond my expertise to do it properly. Any help please? Also, interiors, id like all new units with cooker and sink. There are some cheap places about but id like it fitted? And finally roof lining replacement? I like doing work myself but with work and two children under 3, i want to spend my free time holidaying and not fixing things!!! Please i need recommendations of cheap places to go.

Really want to get them done but still need a fitter or somewhere to supply and fit them. Need pointing in the right direction. Getting frustrated with searching on google!

Wolverhampton. Im trying to get all the head lining/ carpeting done in the van, can't decide what order i should be doing the jobs in.... Ive already recovered rock and roll bed, new curtains, new table. Lots i want to do to it!!!
Here is the list so far:
All for aesthetic purposes, van is fully quipped and working. Bodywork and engine is sound
1.new bellows - , colour change
2.new head lining, carpeting throughout
3.new units, cooker sink
4.re upholstered front seats
5. New headlights (angel eyes) smoked indicators, tail lights smoked
6. Full vinyl wrap, metallic blue bottom half, pearlescent white top.
7.porsche engine, brakes and running gear.

Now this list will take a couple of years as i don't have a never ending money supply. But my old golf gti from rusty nothing to magazine front cover and best in show. I like things to look just right.

A standard paint job will cost around £1000+ a wrap would be £1000 with the effect of a paint-job costing £5000+ pearlescent, two tone changing colour, metallics etc you can get some amazing effects at a reasonable price. It keeps out rust too.

Should look really smart. You should start a build thread. Especially if you do a Porsche transplant. Not much info really about it on the net although plenty have been done. I looked at it but 60mph is scary enough in my van :D

Having second thoughts about the Porsche idea because the specific engines that fit in easy are very hard to source. I heard of someone putting a cosworth engine in. I need to get some more advice on what types of engines will fit and the cost of putting different types in. Big saloon cars are cheap to pick up, so might look down that route. I like the idea of a R32 conversion. 3.2 v6 with matching seats etc. i gotta track down the bloke who did my golf engine and get some ideas and prices.
