Hello,

try on the wanted forum - billy739 knows his stuff and might well have the right one.

It's worth noting though that sometimes funny electrical faults on this bit can be solved by cleaning up terminals, and if necessary using conductive paint. I'd try and figure out exactly where the fault is - maybe even take a picture of where you think it is, and someone might have a fix for it.

I didn't actually document it - just drew the PCB as a reference and did each track in turn. Took me a couple of days but it did finally put an end to the annoying open circuits on bulbs and wotnot. I fitted a bit of veroboard where the warning bulbs are, soldering LED sockets so I could at least change them later if needed. AngeloEVS got into proper circuit boards for this but I just used veroboard and PC power supply multiplug so I could unplug console and it allowed for more connections to dash pod in the future should I need them. Case of copying what you have but in hardwire form. Hardly stock but it did put paid to a load of issues.

Did so a couple of years ago Bob. Not the tidiest thing in the world but had no trouble since :D

AngeloEVS is 80/90's resident electronics guru and he backs hardwiring too. The membrane breaks up over time and although you can make minor repairs to it, the only sure way is hardwiring it.

The following link details the wires for the disel modle. Does anybody know the relivent layout for a 1983 1.9 petrol?
Still trying to trace a fault with my temp gauge, HAS to be in this board somewhere and havent worked out which wire to bypass directly to the gauge. (which works as bypasing the wrong wire made it work but only with the headlights on?!)

Could anyone point me in the right direction? I need a wiring diagram for the late TD instrument cluster. I'm going the hard-wiring way, but the BOD bit is a little confusing. I already have the LED's soldered on board and connected, lighting done, main connector sorted. I just don't want to make mistakes, so having a diagram would be very helpful. oh and its a tacho version.
Thanks
