Heater Blower housing
Hi to anybody out there, I am new to the club as I have just purchased a 1987 1.9 watercooled camper(with as I am begining to understand all the usual probs!) managed to get dash out and free heater blower, but does anybody know how to get into the housing to change the fan/motor

Liking it so far!

Hi VdoubleU
Prise the clips off with a screw driver / chisel and then they hammer back on with a sharp blow
sounds rough but it worked for me and I have had no problems since, they only hold the housing together
you cold always melt the plastic back together with an old soldering iron
( I have seen that before ) oh watch out they fly off
After that lift the motor out, swap for replacement making sure you dont mangle the cables, give it a good clean whilst its out and grease / lubricate all moving parts, oh test it before you seal it back up. There is nothing worst than fitting it and finding out it DOES NOT WORK
