Well you should be pretty proud of yourself there then!
Yeh Tink is doing okay, I am sprucing her up internally now and considering a new van for a big adventure that I am starting to plan.

Gas Struts - again! Autohomes solid sided poptop
Hi Have been trying to order new gas struts from SGS for my autohomes solid sided poptop. I managed to get the part number off the side of the ones in situ now but they don't correspond with what SGS have and they asked me to measure the struts. Getting the roof up on my own is a mission due to me b...

Re: First couple of trips away sinve refurb - photo heavey
Hi James
She looks very sweet - love the interior which is next on my list of things to spruce up. Did you pull it out and get it re-fitted? I don't have the budget, skill, time or patience to do that myself so I will thinking more of a paint over on what's there already.

Re: New Curtains
I mentioned the idea to my lovely mum who used to make all our clothes when we were kids.
The response wasn't too encouraging LOL.
To be fair, she's in her late 70s and has very little spare time as she's had to manage my brother's affairs and business etc since his accident.

New Curtains
So since the camper is now lovely Escorial Green the custard yellow curtains are no longer in favour. I'm rather crap at colour matching so need advice on colour and also where to buy from. I quite like the suede type fabrics I have seen in some vans - can't seem to find anything on ebay tho. Recome...

Re: Water in footwell
Thanks Pat, I hear you but I told him I'd pay more for the seals to be replaced and he was adamant it wasn't necessary for all of them but he would for those that needed it. He wanted a quick turn around is all, didn't want to be bothered with ordering seals in. He and his employees must have known ...

Re: Water in footwell
Thanks Helen. The frustration of a job poorly done and the time and effort it takes to get these things done. Tbh I think the body work is good. Cut corners have been disappointing in the finish like the door cards. Nothing is the end of the world but the guy has deliberately tried to save money and...

Re: Water in footwell
I agree, I'm fed up with being ripped off by unscrupulous people just because I'm not knowledgable in mechanics of bodywork.
I'm away at NY I'm afraid Lloydy
Thanks tho, maybe there'll be a south east 80-90 meet early in 2013 I can get to.

Re: Water in footwell
The point is the guy viewed my camper and we agreed a price. I was clear about the seals and he said he'd repair where poss and replace where not. There was a fair bit of work to be done and let's just say I paid more than I did when I bought the van 4 years ago! The quote was in line with the two o...
