Heater Blower switch/motor burning smell

I'm really starting to hate my van at the moment. Last week i had the problem with the brake calipers, which i changed with the pads, then the brake warning light came on and is still on after our 260 mile round trip to Newquay. Then on the way the old starter motor fault reared its head again leavi...

Re: Help dam brake light on after caliper change

Thanks for the advice chaps. I re-bled the whole system, back to front (had some air bubbles from the rear but not much, got quite a bit from ofside front though), pedal feel and pedal travel are much better, alsmost the same as before, it brakes well all ready even after only 10 miles or so. Howeve...

Re: Help dam brake light on after caliper change

Thanks Richard, I think the flexible brake lines were replaced last year for the MOT. Are the back brakes easy to bleed? if so i will have a go tomorrow night and redo the fronts again and see if it improves the pedal feel. I tested it on a straight road in a industrial estate from about 40mph and i...

Is the 1.7KY engine a Diesel? if so none of the Haynes transporter manuals cover it.

Glad you found the Russek manual good, i can't say the same for the Fiat Scudo one i have of his, just expensive toilet paper.

Anyone tried to shoehorn one of those nice 4.0 V10 tdi's out of a tourag in a T25 yet?

Back on planet earth now, i've seen quite a few Audi 2.5 tdi's fitted at the few shows i've been to this year.

Got mine off ebay, very similar but mine was from a different seller and came with a big proper relay rather than that circuit board looking thing from this seller. Works fine, biggest problem was finding somewhere to wire into the battery light circuit, ended up taking a wire from the alternator si...

If you have access to a welder you could weld a decent size nut to the tops of the rounded bolts and then you should get them moving, i'm going to have to do this to mine as could only get 1 of the 3 out when i tried.

Certainly sounds more like a drive train problem (clutch, gearbox, driveshaft) rather than an engine problem to me.

If you need your van towing to a garage you could always call the AA again to get it towed, i had to do this with my Fiat Scudo van a few weeks ago and another vehicle in the past.
