2.1water boxer mpg issues
after a recent drive across spain and dipping toe in portugal.. back in uk with my syncro doka. 2.1 petrol...have noticed lately that when starting the engine it idles quite slow..once warmed up the tick over is quite fast with the smell of running rich and the fuel consumption is quite bad ..actual...

Ok Took rocker cover off to find adjusting screw off one of the rocker arms just lying in the. Cover and a locking nut half way down another pushrod tube. Its destroyed end of push rod and the hydraulic valve lifter come out in bits. Next question. Anyone got a hydraulic valve lifter and pushrod for...

did compression test and 3 cylinders showing 120 bar one cylinder showing 0 to 15 bar .....erm

local guy bought a german t25 westy 2.1 auto
running on 3
changed plugs dizzy rotor oil , filters
runs on 4 now
but revs up and down .had spare air flo meter and still the same.
checked manifolds for leaks with spraying wd40 on all intake lines and just the same.
any ideas...and timing at tdc.

Will look into get a test done. Still strange I thought. After the heating up issue.
Did the normal bleed the system. Turned timing back a little. Then drove around for roughly 2 hours.
Did a little bit of off roading and fine again. :s

Well update on the heating issue. After replacing water pump and fitting a new expansio tank. Had drivine roughly 200 miles with out a problem and temp showing less then halve. Van started running lumpy. So altered timing a little. And now back to over heating. Put timing back And can get a run of 8...

well after refilling with water noticed a leak from water pump.
took pump off checked for blockage,s . all clean. resealed only to find hair line crack in water pump.
so on hold till i get a new pump

well one of the gaskets was in bad shape.
replaced them all.
noticed leak behind water pump so thats off. put it back on tomorrow. fingers crossed
