Stalling when hot!

As the title says my 1987 Hi top 1.9 DG stalls when hot. If you drive anywhere it runs like a dream as soon as you come to a halt it stops and without a lot of throttle it won't start. I am guessing some sort of fuel evaporation with the heat, as it is fine on a journey less than 10 minutes or if yo...

my 87 DG kit came with everything to put the exhaust together.

It did not contain the exhaust studs but bolts.

Had duplicate gaskets!

Had mine in today after fitting complete exhaust, clutch, cooling bits and new front disc's pads and bearings....... It failed! The bloke I know stated that the most common problem he has seen on T25's is what mine failed on.... Corroded flexible brake hoses. All four needed doing, the problem I hav...

Engine oil drain plug

This one is interesting. I have recently had the engine out so in turn have changed a few things. My problem is that the oil drain plug is actually a broken off spark plug!! I have ordered one from just campers but this is about half the diameter it needs to be for my engine, a 1987 1.9 DG. The spar...

I have just done this procedure. For me I got 5 out and 3 stuck, the only way was to take the engine out, drill then helicoil them. If I had known this from the start it would of saved three days laid on my my back being very annoyed! The most important bit is the oxy acetelyne heat from the welding...

Where to buy a new clutch?

After taking my engine out due to those pesky Exhaust studs that shear (6 evenings of drilling to sort out!!). I have started to check all the various consumable parts prior to the refit. My clutch is well dead. Where have people purchased a new clutch from? Obviously i'm looking for the best price....

Engines out!

Due to some extra stubborn exhaust studs I have had to remove the engine.

Whilst it is out, can any one suggest any other repairs, fixes or maintainence I should be looking at whilst it is on the bench?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have a leisure battery?

I have and my fridge is connected to this.

This way it is not attached to the main one.

If not Turn it off and leave the door shut when stopped for short periods it will remain cold.
