Hi all, I have a 1990 2.1 auto, it has developed a miss fire when I indicate or flash high beam or switch from dip to main beam! I have had an auto electrician and a garage on it, with no luck. Has anyone had a similar problem? Any hints and tips greatfully received! At whits end, might trade for a ...

Re: Am I in trouble!!!!???
Top the engine tank with neat antifreeze, it should slowly melt the ice. The head studs should be ok as long as you sort the problem asap after it's thawed.

Re: My new seats , repair advice needed
If you use thinners or any other spirit based cleaner on leather it will take the oils out of the leather and cause it to crack and split. I would suggest that you pick up a general classic car mag ( practical classics is a good one ) in the back will be a directory of specialists. There will be a f...

Re: Yet another lowering topic
Hi, I have a hightop leisure drive. I put the 30mm lowered springs on with standard shocks (fronts, new ) Although the ride was ok on the motorway, on A roads it wallowed like a ferry in a force eight! I have since fitted the yellow sports gas shocks from JK all round. It now handles really well. St...

Re: spare wheel mount
Thanks, I had a bad experience in a bay with a front mount, forgot it was there. Parked a tad too close to a wall...........................
Looked at a rear mount on a synco, liked the idea because it is seen through the rear window! could not find any makers markings on it.

spare wheel mount
Hi All, I'm about to have my LPG tank removed from under the bed! and replaced with one in the spare wheel well. Problem, what do I do with the spare? I don't fancy having just an aerosol of foam. I have seen buses with the spare mounted on an arm at the back, does any one know where I can get a new...

I have an auto 2.1, it started smoking. I had not pushed the dipstick home far enough, it had presurised and leaked down the tube onto the top of the box. OOOPPPPPS! The knocking sounds C>V joint, I had a 2.0lt bay that started knocking on a holiday in Germany, when I returned it had gone from every...

The wiper spindles have a habit of seizing, take the wiper arms off. remove the plastic slieve, undo the 17mm nut then remove the plastic body seal. you then have a bare spindle. Spray with WD40 and leave. With the glove box removed, gently tap the wiper motor. Try tis a few times it might work. fai...

I have a leisure drive with a hightop, gave up on finding a pop top as there not so common on T25's. The high top is great for storing stuff. BUT in windy conditions its a pain, you get thrown all over the place, on the motor way every time you get overtaken ( which is a lot! ) you get bufferted abo...

I had a similar problem on an Aircooled bus. It was a small air leak on the inlet manifold. When it got hot the gap would open, it would not restart. If you take the bus for a run untilll its up to full temp, stop leave the engine running open the lid. Spray WD40 over the inlet manifold where it joi...
