I'm with toomanytoys on this one.........spent today changing the waterpump.

Noitced that the bearing was noisy, this last week or so the belt started to slip, the waterpump bearing was really worn resulting in it seizing yesterday.

£31 for the pump and belt from gsf, runs like a dream now!

Cheers for the picture, mines there alright, I think it must have been a combination of sitting in a wet field all weekend and the torrential rain on way home, have gone at it with WD 40 it runs ok now! Alternator belt slipping, very noisy now!

2.1 dj suffering with damp.

Hi, having driven 150 miles home from vanwest through the worst rain in recent history, our 89 sa 2.1 bus started to run on 3, it seemed to dry out after a while but intermittently dropped onto 3. We managed to get home, without having to remove all of our gear out of the back to get to the engine, ...

I can't find another loose wire in the door pillar, does anyone know if there should be one......I assume there should be as there are four pins......I've ...

Central locking....sliding door

I've got a 1989 South african 2.1 Microbus, very much like a caravelle. It is fitted with cental locking that doesn't operate the sliding door. Should it? It's fitted with a 4 pin sprung switch that looks like it should send power to the lock, the springs in it are lazy, its a sealed unit so i can't...
