Big "THANK YOU" to Sycrospares
Just want to say "thanks" to http://www.syncrospares.co.uk/ for getting us out of an MOT hole.
Phoned them late on Wednesday, Springs arrived at our friendly local garage on Saturday and the van's back on the road today with a new MOT

Re: Windscreen Silver Screens thingys
You could try http://www.vancomfort.co.uk/index.html Not the cheapest, but that's never a good option really is it?? They're a local company to us, a small family firm and very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Who knows, there might be discounts available what with the current financial situation...

Re: Tinting windows. Any tips?
Just have a go! Google it and learn.. It's not hard you just have to be EXTRA CLEAN !!
Lots of soap & water sprayed on then pu it on and squuegee...
Could be worse, you could live in Germany and have it approved afterwards!!

HI. We travelled Europe with our dog for 6 months last winter with no problems. As long as the paperwork is in order it's very easy to do. Micro chip, rabies shot, blood test then passport is issued. You're doing the right thing getting it early, the regulation is that a dog may not RE ENTER the UK ...

Cheers for the wisdom Mocki Our van is my daily driver but just a bit paranoid about cold UK evenings!! I drive it every day but only about 10 miles round trip so just wondering about keeping it as dry as possible. Like I said, probably just being paranoid, we lived in it last winter in Spain so now...

I like the fan heater idea from Billiemaye. What sort of power heater are you using? Do you leave it on all the time? We have a small one (max 1200 watts I think from memory but it's too cold to go out and check) that we took to Europe last winter and thinking of putting it in the van, keeping it ho...

We've got a pair in ours, very old, worn and scruffy looking but very comfy. Think old leather Chesterfield sofas in a gentlemans club style. Drove down to Almeria from Nottingham in 3 days last December and no aches or pains. The bloke I got them off had already had them in his van though and welde...

Hi We have a full length roofrack on our van, not sure what make it is but it clamps onto the gutter at 4 points on each side. Didn't enter my head it might be tricky fastening on our new awning until we got to Cornwall! After a bit of messing around we sorted it by using lengths of pole that fit be...

Gas help please
Hi, can anyone recommend a gas servicing place for our van. It seems to be a good idea, to pit it mildly, to have everything checked / renewed as I'm guessing it's all pretty original ('89 Westy). Is it a job a local caravan dealers could do and any body got any preferences as to who to use? We're b...
