Re: Westfalia Battery Charging
I have a related question on this. Last time we were away the charger started to smell a little bit when on hookup (and was warm, but I guess that's expected to a degree) so we disconnected it to sleep. To be honest I had thought the black box was part of the Eberspacher heater until then :) ...

Re: EJ22 cutting out / won't start - waggle ECU wires starts
I think it's 90 - 94 from a legacy, I changed the ignition coil using the part number on it and it came back as that and looking at pictures etc it all points to that model but I could be wrong I'm pretty new to this :) I played with it a bit more and the problem seems to come from one set of wires ...

Re: EJ22 cutting out / won't start - waggle ECU wires starts
I bought the van with the engine already there so no info on it (think it was done before the last owner too so prob 6 years +). I can get it running fine by putting the wires in a certain position, but it will cut out if I move them. The wires are all taped together and there's a lot of them, I'll ...

EJ22 cutting out / won't start - waggle ECU wires starts
Hi, I have an EJ22 in my T25. It was running fine and then failed to start. It turns over but doesn't start. Thought initially it was the ignition coil but changed that and then discovered moving the ECU / Wires around it would eventually start. Any ideas, I presume it's something with the wiring al...

Re: Which Subaru engine do I have (from what donor car)
Hi Guys, thanks for the replies, I'm in south wales, I'll check the ECU for a number to search. I've also order the Haynes manual for the legacy so that might help too

Which Subaru engine do I have (from what donor car)
Hi, I have an EJ22 engine in my T25 and my local mechanic is struggling when he needs to get parts as he doesn't know the exact car/year it came from. I'm thinking it's from a Subaru Legacy 2.2 1990 - 1994 but does anyone know how to tell? All I can see on it is EJ22 (tried to add a pic but it says ...

Re: Should I fill in my Hi Top Gutter with sealant?
Thanks for the quick reply. Good tip on the depression, I'll try and do that. I have no confirmed leaks in the windows but I'm guessing using the product you suggested on all of them won't do any harm. Am I right in thinking this stuff will be very thin, clear and won't be immediately visible? Any t...

Should I fill in my Hi Top Gutter with sealant?
Hi, We have recently bought our first campervan (Westfalia Joker Hi Top) and although it appears to be in fairly good condition water is getting in somewhere at the back. I can't work out where it is getting in and I know water can track around making it hard to find the source. With this in mind I ...
