Re: brecon wales
This one is nearer Builth Wells http://www.fforestfields.co.uk .I haven't been for a couple of years, but it was lovely and peaceful when I did. The owners where more than helpful when in the morning I found the pop-top had blown off it's hinges!

Re: Elevating roof toggles
Thanks for that - I did try the link from the tech section, but wasn't quite sure what I'd need - JK seemed the simple option! I will try and fix the ones I've got which are strong. There must be a way of stopping them falling apart and they certainly have lasted better than 2 months!

Elevating roof toggles
Anyone got any view on the JK toggles? I was advised not to use them as the stretch too much/wear? Who knows what we have got at the moment - they do keep the thing down, but they fall apart when you undo them and gettting harder to put back together! It would be be good not to be grovelling ...

Re: Discounts from caravaning clubs
We are members of C&CC mainly for the IOW ferry reductions as in-laws are there. We did intially join the CC, and althought the wardens were OK you could see the disgust on most peoples faces as our rusty old van squealed into the site!! They also seems to have a lot of rules - which way your va...

SatNav!! Why no.. I have a map or route master and a good memory.. Round here in deepest darkest Wales it would either send me up a lane where I would meet some large vehicle coming the other way and we would be stuck for a fortnight  (The poor old van has got a great big new battle scar down t...

Thanks for that - We are crossing over from Lymington so will do that. :D We are coming back to Portsmouth though, but I think it's pretty standard around there. We will be coming back up via Bristol so will venture into Cribbs Causway - is it those filling stations by the shopping centre? It all lo...

I can try and make you one if you find the fabric if you want. Ours is in the old wardrobe, but I'm sure I could give it a measure and let you know how much fabric is needed. Let me know if you're interested. (I'm going to have a few weeks on my hands soon, so light jobs will keep me out of mischief...

Thanks Fritz :) - thought something must have dropped off! I definately am concerned the wind would rip it off once I got off the lanes round here. She is due to go up to Steve in Chester in a couple of weeks - I'm sure he would be able to make good. What would be the best way to secure it on the wa...

Bits a flappiin'!
I have just got the van back from the MOT (no probs :D ) - were the mechanic had "kindly" tried to improve the action of the sliding door - he thought the lock was catching on the panel between the runner and window (never noticed it). Well now the whole panel is flapping about and hardly ...
