Have removed all my westie interior and time to tackle the peeling trim. Anyone any ideas



I brought some vinyl stuff but wasn't any good.

had mine done today and i've done 60miles and wanted to see what the score was so filled up and i put just over 10 litres in. felt like a tight wod paying a 5er in the garage lol. dunno what mpg is. bout 28???

i have been told that if they get knocky you can reset them. been told its something to do with them reaching there max adjustment so you wind them back in or something. will let you know when i do mine.

its is a vertical lift ratter than a pivit one. the sprimgs can get rusted up and it don't stay up and think on bays anyway they can leak.

the one i did came with a metal frame which you just need to mark out and cut round. then pot rivit it into place. i've found the hardest part is making the carpet look like its ment to be in there!

i will take some pictures of it finished.

if you take the old one down and use it as a template and buy a couple of metres of the really cheap carpet and cut the shape out. you'll need to sew some loops in where the metal poles clip into the roof of the van but its a cheap way of doing it. done the same with mine. looks fine.

do it yourself. just done mine. had a donor camper that i got all the bits from. just cut the hole in the roof tonight and nearly finished pot riviting the tent bit down. be done by tomorrow.

should be funny and not damage the van to much for when we respray it

i've heard from a mate in the know that mk2 golf lights fit with a little bit of modding. so find some mk2 golf angel eyes and they should fit. i'm looking to fit some soon when i do i will let you all know whats involved.
