Re: T25 1.6 diesel losing power and cutting out

On the two occasions I,ve had this problem the first time was bio diesel had gone solid in the fuel filter due to the cold weather blocking the flow but it would tick over all day, and the second was the conection on the lift pump was corroded,

JK engine

Has anyone fitted a jk engine (1.6 diesel) to their bus - the jk engine is out of the 84 / 86 golf caddy etc range, and if so how many litres of oil do you use, mine is taking 6.5 litres to the max mark, which seems a little too much. do you have to change the sump when fitting into a t25 ???

Re: Glow plug circuit

The clicking in the glove box was the wiper relay, i traced the starting problem to a bad connection on the fuel solenoid, took off cleaned and now its starts when warm, thanks for the help,

Yes i fitted a brand new one shortly after it started playing up and checked the lines for air leaks and found nothing and no change.
