wheels

Post by Trunkster »

Hi guys. I need a new set of tyres on the camper. The wheels arn't great so I have been looking on E bay. It seams that I can pick up a prety good set with tyres for less than a new set of tyres from the usuall tyre place's. But what wheels fit? What is the hub patten and what is the maximum size wheel, what about the axel that sticks through the wheel. How is that covered up. I am realy confused. Do you have to adjust the speedo? I have seen passat wheels and golf that are 5 stud are they a direct fit. What are spacers for? Its a 1980 air cooled with nuts on the back and male bolts on the front. :run
