welding/alternator

getting abit of welding done tommorow now i know i have to disconect the battery but someone else said disconect the alternator?should this be disconected just to be on the safe side,cheers dave :ok

Whilst the welder will indeed use the chassis as an earth, I was taught that electricity takes the shortest route. Consider that, then you'll realise you don't need to remove alternator. :wink:
