Post by KittyCamper84 »

Hi, does anyone know of a twin exit tail pipe that i can fit on my 1984 DG? I just want to replace the end part after the silencer with something a bit 'snazzier'!!!

You can get stainless but I've never seen a 'Twin' one.

I got sick of replacing tailpipes, not to mention seized nuts/bolts which was a real motivation to dump the DG exhaust altogether and replace it with something with more longevity and a hell of a lot cheaper. Out of that came my custom silencer using a Kawasaki can. Worked a treat and gave me a small bonus in the form of slightly more power. A few other 80/90 members have followed suit. If you have the early layout, do consider it. If you have the later exhaust system, you can sill do it but needs a little more fabrication. Not a lot of work though to be honest. Doesn't have to be Kawasaki either and you can pick these stainless cans up for about £20 on ebay.
