Running unleaded fuel
Can anyone help, I have been runnimg my 1.9DG now for about 16years, all this time I have been adding castrol addative to the unleaded fuel. Someone has suggested that I should not have to add this since the engine will be OK without, can anyone advise should I use addative or not since its now quite expensive-Thanks Dave

Re: Running unleaded fuel
Thanks for the feedback guys, wish it was that easy kev, I suppose on the positive side it didn't cause any harm. Anyway just about to start the 3week trip to Italy so the saving will buy a few more gallons -thanks

How about 2.0 CU engine ? Do u need to add the additive to one of these ?
I was, then I stopped...but some one told me I should continue adding the additive just in case ??

Re: Running unleaded fuel
All new VW heads made during the latter years of the beetle could handle unleaded and everything after that including the T25.
