When I bought my van the pump for the sink and all the internal lights worked but suddenly stopped. I have replaced all the ceramic fuses and followed the wiring back from the hook up inlet and all seems ok. Is it possible that the wiring goes through the internal light and if the strip failed the fridge and water pump would stop working also. I know the power is reaching the junction box because I got a shock when I was jiggling the wires? Baffled...again. thanks again

Don't know if this helps. My pump and interior lights work off leisure battery. Hook up only powers fridge and 3 pin socket.

Whats the conversion or homebrew? do you have a zig unit or similar? there will be a 240-12Volt transformer type thing somewhere, and all your 12 V devices will run off that at 12V, apart from 3 way fridge on 240V and internal 240V 3 pin plug if there is one. Thats the usual way unless its a homebrew and someone has wired up 240V appliances if you are jiggling wires and getting a shock it may be time to get it looked at by a pro?

Thanks a lot. Leisure battery was flat - currently being recharged as it doesn't seem to have a split feed so that could explain that the lights and water. Internal 3 pin socket didn't seem to have power reaching it from the hook up. Desperate to get this sorted because I've had the van six months but still haven't used it properly and really keen to get away in it this weekend.

tightened/jiggled the wires seems to have got the hook up working. Battery has had it. Its not currently being fed so I think the preb=vious owner must have had to take it out and charge it when it went flat. Looking to set up a split feed and found this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/split-charge-rela ... 852wt_1139 on ebay. Seems a bit cheap but do you think it will do the job? thanks a lot

The kit you have linked to is a simple bog standard set of bits. Most folk would agree that it will work, (Just)
Really you need something a bit more up to the job.
Have a search for what other folk have done.
Including intelligent chargers and solar panels.
