gearbox oil check
Hi, I have had my 86 T25 for about a month, and have changed the engine oil, filter, air filter and fuel filter as I didn,t know when they were last done. However have now tried to undo the gearbox oil filler plug but its refusing to budge ! I have the correct socket and a good length ratchet on it , as much leverage as you can get whilst lying underneath and have sprayed /soaked with WD40 but no result. Has anyone any tips ? I am afraid to give it too much welly in case of damaging the plug so if anyone has solved this problem before would appreciate advice. Cheers...........

Re: gearbox oil check
Hi,
Had same problem, not the easiest to move sometimes!
Done same as yourself though - wd40 etc - and in the end place the correct sized socket in the plug and the other end of the in the bowl of a trolley jack - get the right angle! - and then gently pumped the trolley jack. Was no problem after that.
All best.

Re: gearbox oil check
wd40 is usless for what your trying to do.its a moisture displacer.as mentioned use plusgas.its a penetrator.
