Re: austria
Geographically it's France, Belgium, Luxemburg, France (again) Germany (Freiburg) over the Black Forest to Lake Konstanz and round to Bregenz, Austria.

Re: austria
We are thinking of going to Vienna in September, via Germany (Black Forest) - so if you come up with any good routes or know of good camping spots - give me a shout (and vice versa). I'm a bit of a newbie to driving abroad having only done it once before (drove to/all around Britanny). We were thinking same route as Ian has suggested as I would love to go to Frieburg anyway.

Re: austria
3 of us drove that route last year, staying at Metz aire for the first night and at Camping Belchenblick (south of Freiburg at Staufen in Breisgau) for 3 days going. Freiburg looks very nice and the drive up and over the Black Forest to Konstanz is superb
