Geographically it's France, Belgium, Luxemburg, France (again) Germany (Freiburg) over the Black Forest to Lake Konstanz and round to Bregenz, Austria.

We are thinking of going to Vienna in September, via Germany (Black Forest) - so if you come up with any good routes or know of good camping spots - give me a shout (and vice versa). I'm a bit of a newbie to driving abroad having only done it once before (drove to/all around Britanny). We were thinking same route as Ian has suggested as I would love to go to Frieburg anyway.

3 of us drove that route last year, staying at Metz aire for the first night and at Camping Belchenblick (south of Freiburg at Staufen in Breisgau) for 3 days going. Freiburg looks very nice and the drive up and over the Black Forest to Konstanz is superb 8)
