Snapped accelerator cable.

Hello,
Driving home today my accelerator cable snapped, at the front just below the pedal.
It's an 87 T25 with 1.6td engine, how easily am I going to be able to fix this, and hopw do I do it!!
Any help appreciated :D

For a temp fix, if you have a little cable to play with where it has snapped, you can repair with an electrical connecting block (choccy block). Poke both ends of the snapped cable into either end of the connecting block, tighten both screws and you have a temporary fix. Other than that, a new cable will have to be fitted.

did mine last year owduck...not too bad n dont need to jack the van up......i had to repair some of the cable outer shroud so took me about 1.5 hours....
