Hello and welcome

As said, please fill out your profile a bit more so we know where in the country you are, then we can suggest if there is a workshop etc near you.. Alternatively it can be transported to someone..

Only thing is.. as you will discover when reading through the vast amount of info on here, Syncro's are not a cheap vehicle to repair and own.. unless you happen to find one that has had loads of work done or is exceptionally low mileage and cared for..

Hi, Welcome & all that.
Stood for 5 years could be a real problem, Brakes, engine, tyres, suspension...infact everything that needs to move will need looking at/replacing. hope it was cheap! Get some pics up.
Good luck. :ok

hi and welcome not to scare you but vc, gearbox, bearings, suspension, brakes, engine basically all the mechanicals then look at the body and cosmetics. I suppose get the engine running and go from there if needs be drop the propshaft look on the wiki lots of info and the syncronauts website also buy yourself a bentley manual and make a list of things to do and how much you need to spend. Have a good mechanic to have a look at it and advise, on what needs to be done too many toys might be able to help you there or a nearby syncro owner good luck with it :ok

hello and welcome.

is there trouble with the gear box? Adian will should be able to help.
what sort of nick is the body in? and what do you entend to use the van for, fun, work. camping. hooning uo and down the welsh mountians?

i would recomend that you do something like i did with my syncro (i paid £500). get it running and mot'ed. if all sceams well tax it. and start driving it. then you can work out where to start spending the money. and trust me in the begining they sceam to eat money.

The underside is very good ...you hear that a lot about T3's. That's because unless it has been severly abused, it's about the last spot that goes bad.
Doesn't really mean too much, I'm afraid, as all other body areas can gobble up money at an alarming rate unless you are proficient with a welder yourself.

Have a very good poke around all the nooks and crannies (take the inside panels out and look behind everything) and get a good picture of the body. If it's crispy all over, it might be cheaper in the end to just forget about it.

The good news is, if the worst comes to the worst, your van should be worth quite a bit in bits and pieces ...several times what you paid for it anyway.
