Carb electrical connections

Post by mark1967 »

I`ve tried,I`ve really tried  but I can`t suss out where the wire for the bypass air cut off valve goes to on my van.Its an 1985 1.9 DG with the Pierburg 2E3.
Does it just need an ignition switched live feed? As usual the Haynes book of lies is about as much use as a chocolate teapot. All info greatly appreciated.

There are 4 wires in the carb area 3 black 1 red.The red goes to manifold pre heat element,2 of the black wires (throttle channel pre heat and choke) are joined to each other and then to the red further up.Leaving 1black wire connected to the bypass cut off valve thingy. The loose end of which does reach anywhere near anything :?
