Hi,
If its the speeds sensor and it fits to the back of the speedo and connects to the front loom Richard supplies (I think). There is a little blanking plate that it fits perfectly into and feeds the speed back to the ECU.
Maybe.

My MY00 engine runs fine without a VSS signal (apart from generating a fault code). Will deffo be needed to drive the CC system though.

Thats just what I need for my new dash!
Wire in the black lead to permanent ground, the red lead to switched live (ignition), and the green to the VSS connection on ECU.
As said, the rear of the speedo may have a blanking plate that pops out (some havn't got this though...). Two small screws hold it in place and it picks up magnetic pulses from the mechanism in the speedo.
Hope this helps! :D
