Dave, under what situation was it working that it is not now?
Give us a few more clues, is the brain contacting properly, are the temp sensors giving the correct reading with the ohm meter?

it was working sat in the footwell of the van, i had a cable tie round the thing to hold the fuel cut out switch and the main plug in contact, other than that the connections have not changed, the glow plug is new and the sensors are all reading correct! i think it might be the brain, i have treiad a different wiring loom, and a different heater and combinations of the two to no avail, they just do the same thing- nowt!

Webasto troubles

Post by mike the van »

Mine did the same first off got it running outside the van lying on the ground, then installed it all nicely and the ****** won't work. I had a look inside the brain, it has a sealant that holds the innards inside and two crimps either side, if the same as mine. Battery charge needs to be good then i went through the connector cleaning and tightening.

webasto problems

Post by mike the van »

Cut the bond between the sealant with a old hacksaw blade between the black plastic connector block and the ally casing then just use a wide screwdriver to gently ease the plastic out of the ally tin and then you can see it in all its glory.
