wheel hubs nuts

HI could any one till me which way the back wheel hub nuts trun ?? to get off
thanks for any help

hercules,

They turn anticlockwise to loosen, but are VERY tight. As much as 500NM or 370 lbs/ft

You will need a 3/4 inch drive 46mm socket and bar with a length of scaffold tube or similar, or.......

to undo and a big torque wrench to refit correctly.

I don't have a big one! So I work out where to stand on the scafold pole to achieve the correct torque. But I have to go on to converter thingy on the internet to turn my 13 Stone at X feet into theem foriegn units. :roll:

iv got a fat bloke coming tuesday and pol to do them, :wink: just need to buy the 46mm to put on the nut to undo it, thanks for any one that help
