Black Smoke

Post by rustyt25 »

After 2 months of behaving itself my 2.1l T25 has started playing up again, no power when it warms up and belching lots of nice black smoke ( black, not white or blue).

Overfueling ?

Anything I can do with this black box ? Carbs I can play with but fi is a dark mystery.

Or is it time to get it back to the professionals....

There's a current thread further down on exactly this issue... it usually resolves down to a bad temp sender, broken or bad wiring, earthing issues etc.. It's rarely the black boxes themselves...

Go here: 2.1 dj black smoke?

Yup, its two pages down now :)

This is something we've said will end up in the Wiki soon, so the more the merrier, if your symptons or solutions vary, stick a line or two in there...

which'll also keep it high up the list for a while
