Hi posted a topic up earlier on this subject. I have now found out what is wrong with the pulley ( this pulley drives the oil pump and the vac pump.) The garage tells me that there is a broken collar on the pulley. That's what is giving it end float on the shaft. So I am asking if anyone if they can help. The engine is a 1.9 diesel engine (it say Seat on the cam cover if that makes a difference.) I need this quite so as the garage wants the van out soon.

new part from a Seat dealer will be your best / quickest fix.
Keep it real.

What sort of collar is it? Sounds an expensive item at £200
Is it part of the sprocket? Hope it sorts your problem anyway.

Hi the collar is part of the shat. Its what you see when you take off the guide ring (it has the oil seal in the front of it).
