Post by ELVIS »

Gonna make a parts washer out of a 99p B+Q bucket ! afetr the demise of my TD the engine mounts and sump are covered in thick oil and 3k miles worth of european sand/mud/"pooh" .
wanna scrub them before i put them on my new shiney engine. any ideas ? parrafin/petrol/diesel/kerrosene ? cheaper the better
gonna splash out on a can of spray on gunk then pressure wash em but wanna make sure they are sparkly ? also wanna clean pick up and oil pump spotless.

Paraffin works quite well. There's a grease you can get that cleans things up lovely... Elbow grease, thats it!
