Best seats for T25's ?

Post by mearnsy »

We are looking to fit some seats with headrests, can anyone tell me the easiest ones to fit.

I would like to find some and fit them before next weekends trip to Isle of Wight!

rover 200 coupe one's are a good choice

half leather, adjustable in all directions

and best of all, the drivers one has a height control thingy so when they're wound right down you don't catch your legs on the steering wheel

had them fitted in a bus I had, didn't do job myself but it appeared the front mounts bolted through the seat squab either side of normal rails, back one same. Seat's had in-built slide mechanism too so not much chopping around to do

Easiest are obviously standard ones from a Carravelle etc but at around £200 for decent ones prove a little costly.

Yeah I think they just bolt in aswell. We're currently sorting our seats but we can't stick standard caravelle seats in because some clot grinded the seat rails off the swivel bases so we have to bolt in. On the upside not having rails lets the seats sit lower.

Probably 900 / 9000 seats. We have a Saab Breaker ( TK autos) just up the road from us.

Just out of interest, how much would a pair of 9000 leathers (preferably brown) be likely to cost me, well, dad?

Cool, thanks for that. Had a look on fleabay and there isn't really much going at the moment that aren't at a silly price. Will ring TK autos at some point and see what they can offer...or break into my friends Saab 9-5 tonight

Ford Granada/Scorpio
Ford Escort/Fiesta Recaros
Vauxhall Astra Recaros
Rover Recaros
Rover 600/Honda
Porsche 924/24S/44
Saab 900/9000
Volvo ???

Seen all these fitted with varying degrees of swearing.

Recaros are nice as they use flat runners, but like the Porsche seats they are only any use if you have a 'sports bum' to fit in them.

Rover and Saab are very comfortable. Prefer the Saab myself.

Granada ones are big but a bit unsupportive and the material wears easily getting in and out apparently.

What about VW seats from late model cars? Are the runners the same so they will slot straight in? No one ever mentions Passat seats or similar, any particular reason why not?
