SA 2.5i lowering
Hi , i have been thinking about fitting new springs and shocks to my caravelle ( slightly lower ), i dont know if its fitted with standard height or lowered springs already , is there some measurements i could take, i have had the springs off lately and took a picture of the colour code.

Re: SA 2.5i lowering
looking at that mine should have blue coded rear springs , i guess they were changed and they fitted what they could get. Looks like they are standard height as well.

Certainly seems that way.
Re: SA 2.5i lowering
Looking at the photo of your van on another post it looks like just the rear springs had been changed, the fronts look more like 30mm lower.

Re: SA 2.5i lowering
side on picture , does it still look high at the back ?

Re: SA 2.5i lowering
Looks more like standard height at the rear but still looks good with the lower front end.

Re: SA 2.5i lowering
can you see the colour marks on the front springs ?
The part numbers for the later SA vans don't cross with the European springs so they were possibly made in SA, and the one with the BCP part number is described as forked spring (2 blue); the more common 22S part number is 1 yellow, the additional white and yellow marks on yours maybe are a red herring. The parts catalogue doesn't show the [paint code for the stock front spring which weirdly is van spring (251 part number) with no suffix, which doesn't match the European supplied variants

Re: SA 2.5i lowering
Picture of the front springs , seems to have a couple of white marks and a red , the white marks look a bit suspect so i cleand the dirt off and they are white paint.
I intend to change all the springs just cant decide what drop to go for.

Photo above shows a 45mm drop, i had porsche wheels with low profile tires and the ride was harsh, not so bad with the original carat wheels but i would prefer the 30mm factory lowered suspension thats fitted to higher spec caravelles .
