Alloys?

Post by kiwirob »

Hi All
I have the chance to buy VW alloys. These are given as:
6J x 15 ET 38.
Can anyone out there tell me if they will fit and what I need to do to get them on my van?
Cheers
Rob

Titus
Thanks for the quick reply.
I've read as much as I can take in from those sources.
I was wondering about the load bearing capacity as well as general fit. These seem to be within the guidelines from the Brickyard.
These alloys appear frequently from golfs MK4.

Of the top of my head I couldn't comment on the fit although it doesn't seem too extreme. However there is nothing in the info you've given about the wheels that describes the load rating. Given that you say these wheels are typically used on a Golf (small hatchback) and you want to put them on a T25 (heavy van particularly if camper) then the wheels may not be strong enough. Maybe if you post a couple of pics of the wheels you might find someone has tried them before and can comment.

Hi again
How can you find the load rating?

That's probably a bigger issue than the load rating.

Thanks peeps
That has sorted that problem.
Always a mine of information and help.
I'll try to get some carats. At least they fit.
