had a disaster today my siding door wont open very well.
i managed it at last, i think the problem is on the hinge, on the mech side...in the middle of the hinge there looks like there used to be a claw like mech, this has snapped, its metal, any ideas what its called and where i could get one please???

Re: sliding door woes
Do you mean this part
http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_spares_Lat ... artRow=121" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Fits on the body to hold the door fully open.

Re: sliding door woes
hi... no i dont think its that, i think its actually inside the door, seems to come from inside the door and then latch onto the u bend of the sliding door, it feels like it has a wire or something to do with pulling the door away from body as u open it
