do a head count before you leave home...and before you leave the site!
always do one thing at a time in the van and tidy up before starting another.
don't park on mud
take lots of "things to do" ..as a family.
don't plan anything till you get there.
leave the telly at home.
take some extra blankets...and extra clothes
an umberella
first aid kit
fire extinguisher
wine ...beer...and more wine
a tasty meal.
lots of tea
your on holiday relax
find a site / sleepystop / place that looks interesting to children. (farm, seaside, forest.
take the bikes
more beer
more wine
Welcome to the club it's fun here

Stuff
Get an awning - the extra space will save your sanity and your van's interior.
Get Green Flag/AA/RAC
Take a radio - rediscovering radio can be fun.
Walkie talkies to call them back for meals and to check in.
Go to a show or local meet - good way to see what others take and use, also you will make some good friends and so will your kids.
Welcome - Paul.

Hi welcome,
I only bought mine in July. I'm amazed how much I've learnt in a short space of time.
hook up your 240v electric the night before you leave so your fridge is cool before you leave. Your fridge on 12v takes about 2 hours to start working.
do remember to turn the gas off before moving off
cheers

Buy a large awning as a smaller one just becomes a storeroom, take some ready made meals for the first night as everyone will be tired! Connect the hookup the night before and turn on the fridge, We found our tomtom a must! When we arrive where ever we are going we record that point so we can go out exploring and never get lost!
