Is this relay lever too loose? (4 speed gearbox)

Thought THIS might be why 1st/2nd are sometimes hard to get. Any advice folks?

I have cases bored and sleeved if more than a 1.5mm total play
there is often play in shaft/lever join too, none allowed

I think I can get some sleeves knocked up at work. Will check the other joints too...
