water cooled T25 cutting out...please help

Post by sonik »

Hello, my 1900cc water cooled T25 cuts out after 5-10 mins driving. :(
It seems to loose power and just cuts out, it will start after a 5 mins but will do the same almost straighy away.
when its in the go it runs great.
Have just had a new distribution cap and arm renewed and i have just fitted a new ignition coil as the man at the garage told me this could be the problem.
It feels like somthing (fuel maybe) is not getting through when i accelorate. :?
Any help or advice would be great as im at a loss.
Many thanks Tracy
Ps can anyone recommend anywhere in the rochdale and surrounding area who knows what they are talking about and could give it a good service. :D
pps--this is my first post on here and my first camper [after dreaming of owning one for over 15 years], so please please be kind!? thanks.

:ok Have you checked both fuel filters. There one on the fuel line near the petrol Gand and a limitless one inside the carb where the fuel pipe connects to the carb. I had running issues with mine and it was the filters blocked.

That was going to be my next port-of-call if you get what I mean! Thanks for your advice. Mine is an autokamper too and as you're down the road from me, can you recommend any good garages that know what they're doing?

I don't know any local mechanics as I do all my own work on the camper. If you need any help you could always drive over to royton and I can show you what needs checking.

It's quite easy to check the carb filter yourself my friend. Check the WIKI.

Is your exhaust blowing at all?

When was the last time you replaced your fuel pump/push rod?

sometimes the filter on the sender unit clogs up when the engine cuts out and the pressure drops so does the crap in there restart and pull it back up had that on a few cars in the past but as mentioned id check the other filters too b4 dropping the tank to check
