oil pressure switches-expert needed!

Post by Joju »

Hello, the old green army bus has oil pressure lamp drama, on the first day of our uk road trip :(

A local engineer, Gareth Davies, in Clopton is looking at it, says pump is ok, but is a little baffled by the switches.
I have found the wiki page
https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Al ... and_causes" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and sent it to our engineer, but I would really like to have an expert speak with him.

The light came on when we were up to speed, went off as we parked up so according to the wiki it is the high/low switch.

Engine is 1.7 diesel non-turbo.

Would anyone be able to speak with Gareth? He needs confirmation of this diagnosis, and needs some clues where to get parts.

if anyone is available to take a phone call, we would be very grateful.
