Re: AAZ hot starting problem
Put a 600 ohm resistor in series with the glow plug temperature sender. This should give about 4 seconds glow with a hot engine, and a bit longer glow at lower temps, depending of course on exactly which sender you have fitted. Trial and error....more ohms gets you longer glow.
1.9D (AEF) pop-top. Aaaaahhhhh........that's better.

Re: AAZ hot starting problem
Still got hot starting problems, can anyone tell me what these sensors do on my AAZ ? sensor with brown& yellow/red trace wire, in plastic black housing. Brown &blue/white trace wire, in black plastic housing. Brown &Brown/red trace wire at the back of Cylinder head, Should i have 3 coolant sensors? which one would be the Coolant sensor that might be causing my hot starting problems? Many thanks for any advice.

BW site has a great write up on these sensors and their function in the tech section.
Either you have a faulty sensor - easily tested by reading the BW site. Or dodgy wiring from sensor. Did you put the sensors in their correct location.
You are handy with a multimeter - essential tool for these vans.
At this age. The sensor connection do fall of the wire due to age and corrosion.
Are you sure its an electrical fault and not a leak
