Spanish/ Lithuanian engine imports

Does anyone have any experience/ views about importing older engines from the Spanish/ Lithuanian vendors on ebay? 
They have good ratings, not easy to take back though  :cry:
1989 1.7 Diesel 5 speed.

No experience; But I wonder what the import duty and VAT would be.
