Led 3-in-1 digital display temp/volts/oil pressure

Post by lowtimeppl »

Hi
Has anyone installed one of these (or like it) in their bus? It came without sensors but the fact sheet has some resistance figures

Any information would be most helpful.
Thanks

More than likely not compatible with a T3.

I don't believe any T3's (definitely not Diesels) came with a factory Oil Pressure sensor, so you would need to buy/fit an after market one and run a wire to the engine bay.

Voltage could probably be wired in, but an aftermarket temperature sensor would probably need to be installed to send a reading to this gauge. Our 40 year old temperature sensor technology is not likely to communicate with this modern gauge unfortunately.

I considered fitting an oil pressure gauge to my 1.9DG but there is no way you can fit a pressure sender to either of the pressure switch locations as there is not enough clearance. I have seen remote fitting kits which basically run a pipe from the switch location to a location somewhere where there is room, but at that point it became too much effort!!
