Help identifying this carburettor please

Post by filiphiruta »

Hello, can someone please help me identifying this carburettor, its from my 84’ 1.9 DG water cooled van.

I have doubts because the markings on it say pierburg 2E, i was wondering, is there a simple 2E?

Is it not 2E3 or 2E2? How can I determine that, thanks.

Here is a video and a photo of the carb im talking about.

Can't see anything? The video or photos are blank... to me that is.

2E then nearby a serial number just above, on the upper body off your carb, should start 025, identifies the correct model. Then letter/s at end.

Hope this helps

I know but i was wondering whether its a 2E a 2E2 or a 2E3 because i need to buy a rebuild kit and brickwerks only has one for 2E3 carb, do you think that will fit?

It will fit. But you need to work out which accelerator pump you need. 19mm comes with kit. 13mm is extra.
1984 van normally have 13mm, if original, l think?
