Is there a way to check my oil system is doing what it should be doing?
I only ask as my oil pressure light is now illuminating. Comes on with ignition, briefly goes off when starting then comes back and stays on. It’s a 1y engine and I did not do the conversion myself. The dipstick says it’s got oil, but don’t 100% trust the converters home made dipstick.
Anything I can do to check oil is flowing?
I will order a new pressure switch, and do an oil and filter change, putting in the correct amount of oil and seeing if it is correct on the dipstick.
What oil should I use?
Many thanks

So my question about if there is anyway of testing oil is flowing as it should is “no”.
Not without an oil pressure guage, which I don’t have.

Fortunately a new pressure switch fixed the issue, always plan for the worst and hope for the best worked out in this case!
